As you walk along the bush tracks along our coastline, you are immersed in the greenery of the Bearded-heath trees, Moonah forests and shrubs swaying through the wind. ‘Beach Forest No.1’ highlights the everlasting abundant growth and survival of native and Indigenous plants along our back beach tracks, the flow of the ocean crashing up against the rocky cliffs and the rolling sandy dunes.

The Boon Wurrung/Bunurong people adapted to and cared for their environment, for us to enjoy today and to continue to be grateful for what it brings to each of us, at all stages in our lives. I can’t help but think of myself as a child going on many bush walks and my imagination running wild as I embraced the wonder of nature.
